[ARCHIVED] Six Arrested in Prostitution Sting

LAWRENCE

On Wednesday November 7th , the Department’s Street Crimes Unit, a combined unit of the Gang Unit and Street Narcotics Unit, conducted a prostitution sting. This is part of the Department’s ongoing effort to aggressively combat all quality of life issues in the city. During the operation two female police officers posed as prostitutes, and a male detective posed as a “John”, which is a term commonly used to describe individuals that are seeking out prostitutes to engage in sexual conduct for a fee. The operation was conducted for two hours in the  late morning early afternoon hours. Six individuals were arrested during the operation: 4 males for Solicitation, 2  females charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee.. There have been 115 Prostitution arrests have been made in 2018; including males, females, and those with outstanding warrants for Prostitution related charges.

Arrested yesterday were:

Rudi Campos, 37, Methuen

Jose Delacruz, 85, Lawrence

Zachary Nocco, 35, North Andover

Jesus Mandes, 26, Lawrence

Kayleigh Frost, 32, Homeless

Alana Gaulin, 36, Lawrence
