In anticipation of schools opening, Mayor Daniel Rivera announces the rollout of temporary speedbumps across the city. These temporary speed bumps have been placed near most schools and in problem speeding areas. “Speeding has been and continues to be a public safety and quality of life issue in our community,” said Mayor Dan Rivera. “My administration has been working hard to make our roads safer with intersection improvement projects, sidewalk paving, and safe route to school projects through MassDOT. These temporary speed bumps, coupled with increased speed enforcement and patrol, will go a long way in making sure our kids are safe when they are walking to and from school.”
