Mayor Daniel Rivera, with Parks and Recreation Director Nelson Ortiz, Acting DPW Director Brian Pena and Groundwork Lawrence, will hold a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday, July 31st, to announce the re-opening of Sullivan Park in South Lawrence. Sullivan Park was used as a site for alternative housing trailers during the gas crisis last fall and winter. In total, the city spent $1.3 million (all of which will be reimbursed by Columbia Gas) to repair the damage done to the park throughout the gas crisis.
