March 8th marks International Women’s Day. Women’s History Month is also observed annually during the month of March. This September 1942 photo from the Arlington Mills News & Views (accessible in our collection) depicts the enlarged and vital role that the women of Lawrence played in local industry during WWII. In that spirit, staff have curated items from our collection that highlight the stories and contributions that women have made and continue to make to society.
