On August 22, 2018, The Street Narcotics Unit, was attempting to arrest Santo Alcantara, age 47 of Lawrence, on outstanding arrest warrants for drug offenses. While attempting to arrest Alcanatara at his Bailey Street home over 26 grams of cocaine and 8 grams of crack cocaine were located, as well as evidence of distribution.  The detectives were given consent to search Alcanatara’s room,  where the drugs and evidence were recovered.  In addition to the outstanding warrants Alcanatara was charged with drug trafficking and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
