What is happening?

A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the

design for the Amesbury Street roadway Improvements, from Canal Street to Marion Avenue project in

Lawrence, MA.

How will this affect you?

The proposed project consists of converting Amesbury Street from one-way vehicular travel in the

southbound direction to two-way vehicular traffic flow between Lawrence Street and Canal Street,

constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Amesbury and Lawrence Street, upgrades to vehicular

traffic signal control throughout the corridor, provision of bicycle infrastructure, and increasing

vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle safety within the commercial Downtown area of Lawrence.
