McDonald’s to Celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day with Lawrence Police Department
Lawrence, MA – (September 25, 2018) – A local McDonald’s restaurant has teamed up with Lawrence Police Department to celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, October 3. This national one-day event brings local police officers and citizens together – over coffee – to discuss community issues and build relationships in a safe and neutral environment.
Every year, the first Wednesday of October is deemed National Coffee with a Cop Day in the U.S., and thousands of police, sheriff, campus, local and federal law enforcement agencies participate in community events across the country.
Coffee is more than just your favorite morning beverage, it’s a connector, a culture, a community builder. The partnership between McDonald’s and local law enforcement is focused on building relationships with the community – one cup at a time. And all customers and community members that attend Coffee with a Cop events will receive a free small cup of McCafe coffee, courtesy of your local McDonald’s.
The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve. Taking time to meet at a neutral location, like a local McDonald’s restaurant, provides the opportunity for real conversations about issues that matter. It’s about cops, coffee, community, and conversation.
All area residents and McDonald’s customers are invited to attend a Coffee with a Cop event on October 3, at the following McDonald’s restaurant:
8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – McDonald’s located at 50 Broadway
“As McDonald’s Owner/Operators, being involved in the community is the cornerstone of our business, and we look forward to hosting this event in partnership with Lawrence Police Department,” said father / daughter duo David & Christine Yee, local franchise Owner/Operators in Massachusetts. “We hope that community members will attend the Coffee with a Cop events and feel comfortable to ask questions, bring forward concerns, or simply get to know the officers that patrol our neighborhoods day in and day out.”
Customers can also enjoy any size McCafé Brewed Coffee for just $1 every day for a limited time at participating New England restaurants as part of the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu.
